New associate editor for Physical Review Letters
Professor Peter Norreys
Professor Peter Norreys has been appointed Divisional Associate Editor for the American physical society's most prestigious journal "Physical Review Letters" for three years, starting from 1st January 2011.
He follows Professor Dr Juergen Meyer-ter-Vehn (Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, Garching, Germany) who steps down from this role in December 2010. He will be responsible for areas of inertial confinement fusion and laser-plasma interactions, including laser wakefield accelerators, during his appointment with the journal.
"It was a surprise and a delight that I was considered for this prestigious role in 'Physical Review Letters'. I trust that I can follow Professor Dr Juergen Meyer-ter-Vehn's fine example in serving both the journal and the wider academic plasma physics community."
